Fabio Kon is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Computer Science at the University of São Paulo. He got a BA in Music (Percussion) from the São Paulo State University and, in 2000, received a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the area of Automatic Configuration of Component-Based Distributed Systems.

His research interests include agile methodologies for software development, distributed systems, object-oriented systems, dynamic (re)configuration, mobile agents, computer music, and multimedia.
